OUR BRAND CULTURE

When we first opened over 24 years ago in Bozeman, Montana, it was quality and uniqueness that most attracted our loyal customers. The original menu included a nice variety of delicious pizzas, salads and sandwiches. It has been our firm objective to advance and improve our menu to what has become over 70 menu items. Building on this solid foundation of innovation and passion toward food, we continue to challenge ourselves to develop menu options that provide our customers even more diversity. Our MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub restaurants encompass everything we’ve crafted and improved upon since our modest beginning but also aim to take menu creativity, freshness and selection to a whole new level. While we know that we cannot be everything to everyone as a restaurant choice, we are sincerely eager to become more and more for people. As we venture into new neighborhoods, we endeavor to remain passionate about serving others sincerely and well.

Our Mission

The MacKenzie River mission is to provide a distinctive dining experience in an atmosphere unique to Montana. We do it by offering delicious food, creatively prepared, served by an energetic staff. We are passionate about exceeding expectations. Our goal is to develop individuals to their fullest potential through instilling MacKenzie River values of service, integrity and ethics. In our commitment to exceed customer expectations, we invest in our employees and foster a work environment that inspires, motivates and challenges. We encourage our staff to enjoy their lives, and that includes work.

Citizen Responsibility

Environmental and social responsibility are core values of MacKenzie River. We work to reduce waste, conserve energy and water and to recycle. Further, MacKenzie River is committed to giving back to our communities by volunteering and financially supporting education and many other worthy causes.

We invest in our community, our environment and our staff. As written into our mission statement, when staff believe in the job and mission, pollution prevention success is achieved. It is our job to be responsible with the waste we generate and the energy we consume. We train our staff to be aware of this philosophy by always taking conscious steps to conserve. For example turning monitors off overnight, fixing leaky faucets, using pre-consumer food waste to feed local farm animals, offering straws only upon request and much more.

Our Organization

MacKenzie River is a privately held, Montana-based company with corporate headquarters in Whitefish, Montana and restaurants located in Montana, Idaho, Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Nevada. Glacier Restaurant Group manages the restaurants and through the central office performs company-wide operational and administrative functions such as accounting, payroll, human resources, and marketing.
